>>45671536No it isn't banned and wasn't banned at all, but in 2000, clerics made a fatwa in the Middle East that Pokemon is haram and from there, boomers went nuts and stopped buying Pokemon stuff to their kids and cartoon channels stopped airing it or dubbing it in Arabic due to angry parents. The damage is already done and now just adults feel nostalgia going "oh wow. Remember Pokemon? Good times..." It has become a memory for adults, and kids do not know about it at all.
I am just angry about my full Jungle set and original GameBoy games that got thrown away during that frenzy. Sucks, but hey, glad I'm collecting again now and playing the video games too and enjoying them with a small community of people here.
