>>51873679with the exception of Legends Arceus, I haven't gotten any of these games since USUM.
I got Legends Arceus out of pure curiosity because its leaks got increasingly more fascinating as more info came out about how the game worked. Admittedly, I had fun, but ever since I've completed the in-game dex, I've pretty much dropped it. All it is now is a place for shiny hunting and that's it. The Eternal Battle Reverie is a joke because there are no restrictions and you can get triple-digit streaks by using a bunch of level 100 HP-recovery 'Mons. I've done all the missions, leaving shiny hunting as the only reason to keep playing. To think people gave the 3DS era game a lot of grief for their lackluster post-games.
So far, modern/Switch era titles have gotten rid of:
>usability of all Pokémon in latest titles (dexit)>in-game GTS>on/off toggle for EXP share>past gimmick battle mechanics (whether or not you liked them)>transfer moves (at least seen with BDSP, but MAYBE might happen with SV)>a bunch of lesser-used/old level-up moves of varying quality (i.e. Signal Beam, Pursuit, Heal Order, Hidden Power, Return, etc.)>the ability to avoid affection bonuses if you didn't want them (seen at least with BDSP so far, making the only ways to avoid them through abusing your team or using mods)>triple/rotation battles + multi-battles at post-game facility (Galarian Star Tournament had no level caps and BDSP just got rid of them entirely)One of my other concerns regards Pokémon that evolve into new regional forms, like Exeggcute, Koffing, Cubone, Pikachu, Dartrix, Quilava, Dewott, etc. Worried that these Pokémon will either be flat-out barred entry or transfer-only 'Mons, forcing players to need to buy past games if they want to obtain them. Like, it's one thing when it happens to legendary Pokémon, but the breedable/common ones? USUM gave me SOME hope that wasn't going to be the case because Kanto forms can be created by evolving those Pokémon in Ultra Space
