>>47378613You simply release it off a cliff or sicc a pack of Unfezants on it. Paralyze it and dismember it, put it to sleep and drown it, there's a lot of choices to go for. Yes it's sad, but at least the poor bastard got a nice life while it was still useful to you. What's most important is a happy life with Lenora, and everything else is unimportant by comparison.
So yes, taking care of the Pokemon is the easy part, it's the human element that's trickier. There is, annoyingly enough, a Bug Expert living not too far from Nacrene with a vested interest in the public perception of Bug Types. Of course he'd be attending his friend's funeral and comforting his fellow gym leader, and of course, he'd want to stick his nose all over the reports of the incident. He might make problematic comments about Scolipede migration patterns, or their seasonal behavior not adding up, or inconsistencies with the ferocity of the attack, and all sorts of headaches that could draw in bad press and the authorities. You would need to shut him up.
Take the soft approach first, tell him that Lenora is very fragile right now and you'd appreciate him not bringing up his conspiracy theories around her. Act outraged, ask how he could take the side of some wild Pokemon that murdered his friend, and demand he drop the matter entirely. If he refuses to see reason, get more proactive.
