>>54097905Routes are routes. You go somewhere with them. Every single other region prior to Alola had side routes that took you places or wrapped back around to new parts, and there was never anything stopping you from taking these side paths the moment you came across them.
Gen 7/8 do not have these. At all. The entirety of the region's progression is streamlined so that you could never possibly get "lost" in 1 of 2 of the paths in the singular instances you might try and bring up to defend them. This isn't some genwar flaming, this is just calling attention to legitimately bad game design. If you can't come to terms that your favorite region might not be unanimously perfect like you want it to be without immediately going to genwars you might need to take a step back bud. That can't be healthy.
