It's been blatantly obvious from interviews and the like that GameFreak are rushing the hell out of this game. GameFreak has had a notorious track-record of releasing games that feel severely under-cooked, Sun and Moon being the most recent example.
As much as I would LIKE to believe they'll have their shit together this time, they have given no evidence for it. And if the battle system leaks are true this game is gonna be our Other M at best or our Sonic 06 at worst.
