Every Zelda game has their own virtues and failings. Every one has its own reason to be someone's favorite.
Look at Skyward Sword. For all of that game's failings, being able to swing your sword around in real life really made you feel like a swordfighting god when you beat one of the bosses.
In Phantom Hourglass, despite THAT game's significant flaws, it was full of colorful, memorable characters that were a joy.
Point is, if you think preferring one Zelda game over another is equitable to shit taste, then I think the one with shit taste is you.
