I think the only one I would say I disliked was 7, didn't like the region visually or thematically and the Pokemon themselves have been largely forgettable for me, something even 6 doesn't have in common with it. Alola felt small and rushed, the Sevii Islands are unironically a better crack at island geography. I'm kind of particular about the aesthetics of the generations and I just think games like GSC, HGSS, DPP, and BW did it best. I think there's potential for gen 8 to be really good but the last couple of games don't give me a lot of confidence.
