I do a blind nuzlocke every time I play a new game, but in X&Y most of my team was non Kalos mons because of the sheer number of Pokemon in each route. It was pretty since I had to wait for my second playthrough in order to enjoy the game normally using only gen 6 Pokemon.
That's why I think there technically can be an argument for new games having only new pokemon available during the main game but as I said gen 5 has put me off because of how long I had to wait before I had even a single Pokemon that I gave a shit about. I was just waiting to find fucking SOMETHING that looked decent.
If gen 8 came along though and forced that shit on us again. which I doubt they will, but let's just assume they did, then I really hope they give us a fucking good looking slew of new Pokemon.
