>>54684333>Exp share means you can bond with more bros thoughBecause they'll always be useful, with zero input from you at all. It completely tosses out any strategic reasoning of raising who and when. If I chose Chimchar, I need to raise Shinx accordingly for Crasher Wake. I have to spend time with my Shinx but I also have to acknowledge Shinx isn't the star either as everyone on the team has a role to play to back up other party members. Walking in with Infernape and choosing Luxray just because I've had enough of seeing my Infernape isn't really the most engaging way of playing, and it also completely devalues Luxray by taking away its only niche.
All that isn't to bash on any way of playing; if you like to mash A and swap out on a whim and succeed under any context with anyone, that's totally fine. More power to you. But to make that the ONLY way of playing is absolutely mind-numbingly horseshit. Like I said, Pokemon games were never particularly hard, but this reduces it to literally just mash A simulator, and makes it impossible to play any other way than ultra casual.
