"Don't forget to get a new sponge from Viridian's shop. We need one, this one is all soggy and greasy."
Another boring day, another boring and senseless task. I'm 15 already, more than an adult! Yet here I am, being a schoolgirl by day and a housewife by night. Even my little brother, Michael, left home just when he was 11 years old. I always said this whole Pokémon business never appealed me, but maybe there's an appeal in this, regardless of danger.
I'm fully aware my Pokémon pet is just that: A pet. But maybe it could be more.
"Let's go, Fleye"-I yell as I grab my purse, Pokeball and cash to buy the sponge we need to wash dishes- " Stop floating around and come here."
And there it goes, my trusty little pal: Fleye. A floating black critter with an unblinking big eye, and two short appendages on top and bottom of its body. Its the only Pokémon critter my mom seems to like. It reminds her of dad, and this thing has been with me for as long as I remember.
-"Its getting late"-says mom as I return Fleye into its Pokeball- "get the sponge and come back quickly. Don't forget your running shoes!"
And off I go, to get a dishes sponge. It seems to be just another day in the life of yet another person. Pallet Town is only respected for Prof. Oak and trainer Red. If it wasn't because of them, we would still be called the failed trainer's town.
But none of that is my business. I'm just a girl with an unknown black tiny Pokémon, going to buy stuff for mom.
Or so I thought.
