>>52232690Don't know if this applies to other areas, but as someone that goes to a somewhat small university, a shit ton of new people started playing as of Season of GO, so most of them don't have any good Pokémon. Whenever I did a Giratina Origin raid with the local frat bros, 50% of the Pokémon people would be using were Giratina Origin. 25% were Chandelure, 20% were
Hoopa Unbound, and 5% were Hydreigon or Darkrai. One of them got a perfect Giratina and bought 30-something raid passes so that he could get enough candy to get it to lvl. 40.
Point being: Not only is autumn the season for new players to the game (since most people that return to the game only play during the late-spring and summer), but this year in particular is when everywhere started to embrace the end of lockdowns. While it may not reflect in revenue, I imagine a ton of people joined the game in the past few months and this is why Niantic doesn't make the fall stuff particularly good. Besides, for your average player, they're still offering better stuff than Hydro Cannon Samurott, Shadow Ball Dusknoir and Psychic Fang Luxray.
