I'm this way for Zapdos, pretty much all the time. I think using the Master Ball on it in Gale of Darkness three times out of three different runs has cemented the thing into my list of favorites just because of how comparatively easy it's been for me to capture since childhood.

Who cares at this point, the campaigns in modern games are so easy that you'll be able to beat it while lobotomized unless you specifically go out of your way to make it hard for yourself.
As far as I'm concerned anything that can be played in tiers higher than NU is easy mode.
If you're playing purely to build a cool looking team might as well use legendaries too if you like them.

I used Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres to beat the E4 in Red because i didn't want to accidentally overlevel any of the mons that i planned to use in Stadium. I used Rental Zapdos and Articuno to beat the E4 in Gym Leader Castle without rentals because my team wasn't at level 50 yet and i was stuck with rentals

personal rule among friends is legendaries are fine so long as their bsts aren't too bloated. Anything above 600 without some sort of major downside (slaking, possibly palafin but i think that's even up for debate) is probably a little unfair unless both teams have one etc.
