It's basically Monster Hunter in terms of the hub, various regions that are separate, travelling to camps where you have various functions, crafting, etc. Then also elements of HZD in terms of a focus on hiding in grass and sneaking, attacking pokemon with balls or your own pokemon from behind. It's very tactile, whereas Pokemon games are usually quite steriile in that sense. It's also nicely quick for a Pokemon game, no hammering the button in a vain attempt to speed up the sluggish battles here.
>>49362853In DQXI you see entire trees and large cliffs warp and judder around constantly as you walk around. NPC faces and clothes can be really quite different by the time you get next to them, almost like a different person, and you see jewelry and other details appear out of nowhere. I almost stopped playing it it was so bad. Hyrule Warriors 2 is also a disgrace. This is really quite mild compared to what else I've seen on the Switch, though I am playing in handheld.
