Back in RSE, when Pelipper was a complete shitmon competitively, it was actually an incredibly solid pick in-game
>Comes extremely early>Typing that lets it synergize excellently with every starter and gets decent moves for both fairly quickly>Does okay-ish into Roxanne and can put in slight work vs Brawly>By the time Wingull starts falling off (around Wattson or just after), it evolves into Pelipper and puts in significant work against Flannery>Natural Protect makes it good into Norman as well, and it proceeds to get two amazing STAB moves back to back in Surf and Fly, making it both a great HM slave and a fairly good attacker>On top of that, the Abandoned Ship Ice Beam TM lets it rape Winona fairly easily>Puts in solid work against swimmers if you give it Shock Wave and helps vs Tate and Liza>Falls off a bit by endgame but it's put in so much work it hardly matters, and even then it can make contributions vs Drake and Wallace/Steven>Even if you don't use it as a team member, it again gets two very valuable HMsI've used this thing in at least two gen 3 playthroughs and both times it's put in
>>53560855Dustox is one of the more underrated early game bugs. It's never amazing but it's never bad either, and it tends to get really cool level up options like Moonlight, Toxic, Protect, etc that make it a half decent wall into a lot of the early game stuff
>>53563508I may give it a try there then. I got horribly burned by it in Sun where it basically did nothing until it evolved and then did less than nothing
>>53560167Even ignoring the stuff
>>53563725 listed, there's some Pokemon that just fucking suck hard in the games they're in. Magcargo is the biggest example of this I can think of. Yeah you can use it, but fucking why?
