I always loved Northern Desert, and I have heard many renditions, but yours is the only one that seems to have kept what are basically the same sounds as the original, minus that Explorers-patented funky synth bass. I have to say that you did a great job.
As for the piano piece, I'm not sure what you're going for, but it seems like a nice melody. Final Fantasy-esque, or maybe a relaxing town theme in Pokemon.
