So I've never really been a super competitive player, but in the more recent games I've always built a semi-competitive team with Pokemon I like that are also viable. I've generally always used Smogen's OU tier as a reference, however I've also avoided using Legendaries/Mythical and Ultra beasts. Don't get me wrong, I certainly like a lot of these Pokemon (All the Ultra Beasts are just so absurd it's amazing), but something about using them just feels cheesy even though I know they're not any better than many pseudo-legendaries. However Smogon's OU tier has become almost like a Semi-uber tier with how many Legend/Myth/U-Beast are in it now and I worry that in Sword and Shield I'm just gonna cave and start running them.
