While I do like Beautifly, I would say Dustox is actually my preferred of the two Wurmple evolutions! It is a moth Pokemon with a stat spread that is actually an inverse of Beautifly's. While Beautifly has low defenses and decent attack, Dustox contrarily has decent defenses and low attack. This actually gives Dustox an opportunity to be quite the surprising support Pokemon. It learns Light Screen at level 31 and Toxic at level 38. A player has many options with what to combine with these moves such as Protect (Level 17), Moonlight (Level 20), Double Team (TM), and even Substitute (Move Tutor). In the correct situations, Dustox with its ample special defending abilities can gradually take down special, particularly bulky, foes that do not obviously outrank it in type matchup. Glacia's Walrein of the Elite 4 is just one potential example. If you like Dustox, know it can act as a functional support for almost any team! Another fun fact is that its shiny colors resemble the Japanese silk moth. (Part 7/???)
