Anyway, in the same vein of foresight (or lack thereof)
I've read the real reason the Azure Flute was never distributed was because you can get hardlocked out of completing the game
The event being 'too confusing' isn't even a good excuse because you can simply add 'Bring this shit to spear pillar' to the Mystery Card and be done with it, i don't think anyone would get lost
This said, i haven't found any more info online to see if the event at the top of the spear pillar, when you fight the Plasma admins along with Barry, overrides the Azure flute trigger to prevent this or if they really fucked up
Also considering this is 3/4 into the game i'm too lazy to confirm it myself
