>>37622306Most of my happiest memories come from my sister. She's a few years older and was more of an actual 90's kid, while I was born in the late 90's, so I got a trickle down experience starting with Gen 1 from her. The movies, show, trading card game, spin-offs, toys, everything. She's the one that taught me to play (which also kind of taught me to read) helped me out when I got stuck and was there when cool shit was happening. Starting with Gen 3 she would get the opposite of whatever I had so we could get all the pokemon, she had Sapphire and I had Ruby, and I remember us catching Kyogre and Groudon together. Later with the DS games she had moved out but we still talked a lot and traded a ton of pokemon through the wifi features. Later on she out of the blue bought the Pokemon Black DS bundle and got me the White one. I don't enjoy Gen V that much anymore but at the time I spent an obscene amount of time playing it because I was so happy to have a big gift like that.
