Without any context it feels incredibly out of place, which is hilarious given that Masuda and co. are always preaching in interviews that they pick pokemon designs based on what feels fitting for the region.

Turtonator and Golisopod were just like this, praised by /vp/ upon reveal but then totally forgotten and abandoned not long after the game came out.
