>>42537683There are several differences with what Ash caught in Kanto than what Go is doing. For starters, Go has already caught more Pokémon than Ash ever did in Kanto with most of them being generic shitmons, and Ash got very lucky by having all of the Pokémon he caught being very strong without any training. Muk, Kingler, and Tauros were all able to go up against League trainers (or Drake) and be successful while Go's strongest Pokémon was oneshot by some no-name. Go will certainly catch stronger Pokémon in the future, but he doesn't seem to care much about training, and the vast majority of his Pokémon will never be used in any meaningful way.
