You threaten, break, and beat them down and say "You want it to stop? Then live, if you want a goal? Then live longer than I will." Its usually works, the remaining 2/10 though? There's no point in even negotiating or bargaining with them, because they've already made their decision, and they want to go out with an audience to make their final act in the entirety of existence to be a selfish one that will fuck with the people who see it happen or deal with the aftermath for the rest of their remaining lives. And for the ones who don't say anything? Those are the ones you need to actually care and look out for, because these are the ones who are actually going to do it.
