>>52785306Every Charizard is different. I know that people like to spaz out about Charizard being popular, but he isn't a singular character with a singular personality. Ash's Charizard is completely different from the Charizard that beats his Greninja, and Leon's Charizard is also completely different. That's what makes old Pokemon great, they aren't all a specific soccer player or musician, they're imaginative creatures that like dogs, cats, and animals IRL, can widely vary in personality. My dog is different from your dog, despite them both being dogs. But a homosexual tranny dancer will always be a homosexual tranny dancer no matter how many times you clone it.
When we're talking about later legendries being too special, we don't mean they're popular, we mean they have backstories and lore and designs which are too specific. When things become too specific, the space for imagination and player projection shrinks. I never look at Mewtwo as being one of my mons in Gen 1, despite catching him, because he had a very specific personality from the movie and a very specific backstory in the game. He was cool, I thought Mewtwo was super cool, but he wasn't one of my bros. Now it's like everything is a Mewtwo, but worse than that, some of the Mewtwos aren't even cool, they're super specific and detailed, but also lame as shit.
