true but its more fun than any gen 8 or 9 game due to the passive nature of it and there actually being a lot of pokemon in it
filling up the dex slowly over time is just fun :)

filling the dex is fun, as is the core concept of the brand.
The "slowly" has been an issue post-pandemic though.

Pokémon GO is actually quite good. You are the player character, no nat dex cut, real-time pvp, actually meet other Pokémon fans irl

forgot to add, atleast Go, compared to the mainline game, does get huge improvements over time. When it released, no one thought they would add pokebattles, buddy system, PvE system etc to it. not sure if friend and raid system have been a thing at the start, but GF only adds improvements by removing other improvements first.

I still genuinely believe it's responsible for the death of Pokemania. I saw kids moving onto slightly darker kids shows and then you just had Ash screaming like a little faggot with Team Rocket playing lame pranks. I never saw anybody bullied for playing Pokemon, but I saw plenty being bullied for watching it.

I definitely notice a shift in the marketing for Pokemon after GO. I think GO had a bigger impact on the series than I thought it would when it first came out.

Nope. National dex cut and by extension the loss of movesets are the worst things to ever happen to Pokémon. GO is actually quite good right now.
