>>34988998Knifecats can be magnificent assholes but they're still cats. Cats are inherently cute.
>>34988794>how do you guys characterize legendaries? If at all?I may never show them but I do have it all down on one big ref doc. Outside the main group of seven, the rest I consider demi-gods.
Examples being:
Arceus and co. (Dragon and Lake Trios) are never seen and are actual gods over their domains. You can pray to them and maybe, a very shaky maybe, earn a blessing. What's more, the bodies you see are more puppets they use than their actual bodies- none of them have real corporeal forms.
That includes the entire Sinnoh Incident- all seven of them could have stopped it but didn't for a variety of reasons. Most of the, smaller, myths are assholes in their own ways but do take their jobs seriously. Except Hoopa but that's because he's the Being of Mischief and Humor, so it's expected.
Cresselia is, while helpful and whimsical, quite jaded by many of the dreams she seen so far. If you aren't prudish or modest, don't expect her to like you.
Darkrai is less edge and more a realist- the world turns, so do nightmares and dreams. He has no desire to rule the world- just for peace of his own to enjoy.
Xerneas has a deep-rooted grudge with Dark and Ghost types, despite being the maker of all life- this stems from her brother, Yveltal, doing what he did. Outside the grudge, she's fair and kind as most would depict. That is, unless she has a goal- that's when her fae origins start to show.
Yveltal is not an edgelord as most depict him but more a grim reaper. He despises his job but since he has no way out, he does it as best he can and with as good judgement he can. He works in hand with Giratina to make sure souls go where they're supposed to.
His role is actually punishment for creating his "children". Most of the other demi-gods despise him for it.
