EVs, IVs, natures and hatching 1000s of eggs are all bullshit and ruin any fun. Here's a fix inspired by SMT:
Get rid of them all. When a pokemon is generated, all stat gains from level 1 -100 are predetermined at random based on a weighted probability that depends on the pokemon species. These gains are then gradually allocated during each level up and soft resetting will not change them. This means that getting perfect stats is virtually impossible because it requires perfect gains 99 times over, and anyone caught with them in online battles or competitions will be confirmed a filthy cheater via an indicator or checker on said pokemon.
Probability dictates that most pokemon will be average, but because it applies to all players this doesn't matter.
Current online battles has pokemon of the same species having identical stats because everyone wants perfect stats. With the new method, this is no longer the case, allowing for more unpredictable battles. This means for example, no more remembering X pokemon's speed stat and knowing who will move first.
