>>53672576I always make sure every member of the team was introduced in the gen I'm playing. So only gen 7 pokemon for Alola. Only gen 6 pokemon for Kalos, etc.
Furthermore, no overlap in typing. Only one Grass type, Ice type, Fighting type, etc. And of course I always have a starter because it doesn't feel like a complete in-game adventure without one.
