>>32055172People on /vp/ hate Masuda because of interviews where he talks about how and why he does things like remove content between games and casualize them to an increasing degree, and people on /vp/ dislike and disagree with their reasons.
He doesn't seem to view the older fans as that important and only seems to make the smallest effort to reach out to them when he tries pandering to genwunners in shallow ways. Beyond that, he considers it worth it to throw the older fans under the bus to try and grab "the mobile generation."
And some people on /vp/ are fine with that, even. They're fine with the newer generations despite the changes, or even because of the changes, and will defend Masuda to the death regarding these changes. But for the people who do dislike Masuda, the above is often the reason why. They're older fans who have played the best generations, whatever said generations are for the individual, and when the newer generations don't live up and they look to Masuda asking why, he says shit like "haha, I really don't know."
