I use this place (
https://donjon.bin.sh/fantasy/dungeon/) for the dungeon maps and a number randomizer for what items are there. Every item is assigned a number. Same thing for shops, and another limited item (1-5 or whereabouts) formula for how many are on each floor.
There's 1 or 0 formulas for if there are Monster houses, mystery houses, treasure chests, kecleon shops or big bosses on each floor. 0 being no and 1 being yes.
Now the only things left to do are naming the dungeons I've made up, the town, making shops, ect. I'm going to let the team do whatever they want, build a base ten stories high or conquer the dungeons, whatever they want.
More focused on doing what you want and exploring some gatekept dungeons than story. Last time I did a story, the game went on for like a year.
