>>55609872It's as common as another other children's franchise that attracts autists. It has nothing to do with Pokemon but with the autists themselves. All "adult" fanbases of children's franchises are like this because you have to have something wrong with you developmentally to be watching/playing something for kids as an adult when you should have either outgrown it or just become too busy with adult responsabilities. And these dysfunctional adults tend to have dysfunctional sexualities.
