3D models have a lot more factors to take in, from camera angle, view distance so that it's fully on screen in most cases, and has an adjustable point where effects occur during an animation.
In the case of 3D models, to have an animation like Flamethrower/Ice Beam/Hydro Pump/etc. coming out of anything but the mouth or a hand (like Magmortar) or be off-center by any amount during said-animation is just entirely lazy on the dev's part.
I mean fuck, in the case of Blastoise, they can just flag those attacks to "duplicate" the attack's animation by having to exit points.
But then you'll say that I'm not the one who knows animation here like the negative triple-digit IQ nigger you are.
