Even knowing what I wanted to do didn't help prepare me for the drastic difference in expectations. High school was literally just show up and do busy work with the occasional test. College requires a lot more discipline and study/learning skills I was never taught, so I wound up 80k in debt for a degree I couldn't even finish because the material just got too hard for me to keep up with despite my best efforts and being legitimately interested in it to the point that I had been trying to learn all I could since the age of 10.
