Right, but everything in this thread goes beyond what's established in the canon. I'm treating them less like characters in monster catching game and moreso an alien species that I want to "explore" and "discover" things about. Since the games provide none of that beyond Pokedex entries, the rest is all left up to whatever I want to believe.
