I love hyenas. They're so weird, cute, and horrifying all in one package. Hyenas can be nasty, but they're a lot more intelligent and complex than people give them credit for, and I like how Mightyena isn't portrayed as the typical cowardly backstabbing hyena stereotype. I also love how the first hyena Pokémon wasn't the more commonly known spotted hyena, but rather a striped hyena! (Look them up, they're very beautiful) Even before I knew or really cared about hyenas, I still loved Mightyena because they reminded me of my dog. Other things I like about them are:
>early intimidate in-game
>beautiful shiny that looks like a brown hyena (look them up too!)
>a Magikarp Gyarados situation, Poochyena Pokédex entries reflect the more typical stereotype (mean and cowardly) before evolving into Mightyena, who is noted for it's coordination with pack members and extreme loyalty to trainers who gain their respect.
