>>37867925My absolute favorite generation. I lost a bit of interest after gen IV, but going into a new region with only new Pokemon brought me back into the spirit. Every time I played felt like the first time I played Blue version. I had so much fun using and encountering only new Pokemon that I restarted the game the moment the credits ended to try it again with a new team. I ended up doing that five times.
/vp/ was amazing too. So much OC and so much discussion over the Battle Subway, Entralink, giveaways, battles, and trades. There was even a Wi-Fi general because people actually wanted to play and discuss the games. People even had confidence in GF's ability. There was only excitement over what the gen VI games would bring.
And the fact that the cutest Pokegirl in the world was introduced was a bonus too.
