I mean look at pic related they even made sure to get Chole out of the way so that a shot of both Ash and Dawn could be made it really feels like they threw Chole in as well because they felt like she was being unused.
Also even more than that, they go out of their way to pair Ash and Dawn and Goh and Chole with one another.
