I threw the towel when I realized just how fucking massive of a grind it was to make battle ready Pokémon with good, but not perfect Pokémon.
I started competitive Pokémon in the DPPt days, and it was pretty high commitment back then, but it was pretty satisfying. 3rd Gen ev training makes 4th Gen ev training look like a picnic trip, even with the exceptionally lucky full odds pokerus I just happened to get. The elite 4 in hoen is super low level without the post game level boost and makes exp grinding extra shit. Even with the battle tower cloning glitch, getting all those rare candies, TMs and energy drinks is incredibly long and grindy.
It’s just… I can’t take it man! I can’t FUCKING take it!
