>>35484692I believe the producers will somehow meme Ash into whatever anime version of the Alola League and make Ash the first Alola League Champion. They're basically copying the Orange League series. Where there's little to no Pokemon training, a lot of filler episodes for slice of life, a sudden Elite 4 tournament. Ash will somehow win it but turn down the offer of Alola Champion and continue traveling.
At the end of the day, Orange Island & Alola will be the forgotten series because even the little kids (their core audience) doesn't like this model for anime. They like the traditional Ash with 2-3 companions traveling around a region. Getting 8 badges, the companion girl doing whatever type of Pokemon contest rip off, a goofy male companion, etc.
