So I mentioned to a friend that while playing Pokémon Sword after every gym I swap out most of my Pokémon and start training them for the next gym. He told me that this was weird and that most people don’t play like this. It started as just wanting the type advantage for a gym but now I enjoy the Added challenge of swapping out my Pokémon after every gym. For now I still keep my starter and a Snikit but I might play shield in a committed reset run.
I’m still trying to work out the rules, but I think moving forward I’ll make these rules mandatory for my run.
Reset Run Rules:
> After every gym you must replace all six Pokémon used to beat the gym.
> New Pokémon can’t be duplicates of Pokémon on the previous team.
> New Pokémon have to be at least 10 levels weaker than your highest level Pokémon from the previous team.
Does a run like this exist already? What do you think of it? Any suggestions for rules?
