like, designing a moveset for contests is fundamentally the same as designing a moveset for battle, just with a different endgoal in mind. if they ever bring contests back i think it should be integrated with more battle mechanics. like, maybe tying the stat boosts you get from poffins together with EVs, or maybe a mons nature has an effect on their contest stats the same way it effects their battle stats.
