>>51735362Now I'll discuss Typings and Moves.
As I already mentioned, the Bird Type is entering the game. This has large implications on the Flying Type, whose ranks thin quickly.
Bird Type is Super-Effective against:
>Bug>Psychic>DarkResisted By:
>Steel>Rock>FightingResists:
>Fighting>Ground>Grass>BugWeak to:
>Ice>Rock>DragonFlying is altered as well
Super-Effective Against:
>Grass>FightingResisted By:
>Ground>Rock>ElectricResists:
>Ground (Immune)>Grass>SteelWeak to:
>Electric>IceThe following Pokémon lines change their typings:
>Pidgey Line (Normal/Bird)>Spearow Line (Bird)>Farfetch'd (Bird)>Doduo Line (Normal/Bird)>Legendary Birds (Ice/Bird, Electric/Bird and Fire/Bird respectively)For moves: The list of moves expands all the way up to Gen 4, with the obvious exception of Attract, since Genders are not in. With very few exceptions, Pokémon have their HG/SS level-up learnsets.
Moves update to their Gen 4 mechanics, meaning Blizzard's Accuracy is 70.
The TM/TR dichotomy is the only good thing to come out of Gen 8. Thus, it's being implemented. the Celadon Department Store will play host to every TM from Gen 4 (where the movesets come from) in the form of a TR. For balance, they would cost substantially more than they originally did, Thunderbolt for instance costing 25,000 Pokédollars. Their TM forms are acquirable in the overworld in places one would typically find a TM. Hidden areas, non-mandatory NPCs and the like.
Some Moves will see different typings: Bite is obviously Dark-Type, while Peck is Bird-Type.
