Just look at Masuda and how done he seems on twitter/ interviews. Maybe they need to give this IP to someone else.
You're right tho I def have more hours on modern games than my old DS cartridges, but I also did multiple playthroughs of those games so it might have been less. Who knows. I put a lot more hours into it cause of comp alone now tho.
