>>40367033You can change your starter and partner by using save editing programs like Sky Editor or AR codes, and both allow you to use literally any starter/partner combo, including stuff like Shiny Celebi or Purple Kecleon (I wouldn’t recommend the latter though since low level Kecleon is complete shit and levels up at an absurdly slow rate). I’d recommend Sky Editor since it enables you to fix the problem where your team lacks portraits due to only the default one being coded in (though it simply replaces them with the defaults, you’ll need to alter them yourself if you want them to be expressive, also all portraits have a maximum unique color limit of 15, so watch out for that). Plus with AR codes, your starter and partner still have the movesets of the pokémon they were changed from (their level up movesets are not changed though, you’ll just have some unwanted moves) and the opening cutscene will still feature the original pokémon that you chose in the quiz (the latter problem is fixed in Chapter 2) Sky Editor outright replaces your choices in the quiz, which alleviates both of these problems
