Paul's arc is done, but they always did have that line from Cynthia that said they'll battle again one day in the Champions League, so I'm excited to see what'll come from that, since this will presumably be it.
There's also some development left for him in fully becoming the "peaceful self" that Brandon wanted him to become, I don't believe he's fully there just because he lost to Ash at the league.
