So you can't get too menacing with them. There's got to be a level of friendliness with them.
Werewolves are typically depicted with a lot of muscle on them, so I can see how that paired with a somewhat friendly-looking design could make them look "barafag"
Do you have or would be willing to find an example of a werewolf Fakemon design that doesn't immediately scream "furry" or "bara" to you?
What about pic rel? It's been posted around here a few times. Looks a bit more menacing.
