For example, Lysandre is a character whom I deeply enjoy, but no one thinks that his place in the story was well-done, and the writing surrounding him was awful (Sycamore not realizing that the guy who talks about killing the world may be a bad guy). Moreover, he dreads humanity eating itself when it has no food left on the plate, but, throughout your journey, random people constantly give you items and tools as gifts.
The same applies to Rose. The stability of Galar or rate of energy consumption is never brought up in any meaningful way, and any issues are handled off-screen by Leon and Sonia.
Rose, while not being fixed, is improved in the anime with the added backstory that
his father died in a coal mine collapse when Rose was a child, propelling him to seek alternative sources of energy.
