Ive liked sea horses since I was a kid, and thought sea dragons were radical.
Poison-type was unique but didn't appeal to me as much when I was younger. As I aged, I grew to like all the designs more and came to appreciate defense more rather than offense. While Poison isn't much for defense, it is unique. Fairy's introduction actually buffed it, so it could do more than just fuck Grass (my favorite type overall, design-wise)
The introduction of the first Poison/Dragon in a generation that buffed Poison, a defensive stat distribution with specially-offensive inclinations (SpAtk is uncommon among Poison-types), and a good ability really cemented the first real sea dragon Pokemon as my favorite.
I actually dropped Pokemon after White, and after they announced SM I got curious and looked up what Pokemon were introduced in XY. This fucker brought me back into the series, along with the help of Furfrou (I fucking love poodles).
