Platinum has more story related stuff because it has Looker, the fleshed out Team Galactic plot, the Distortion World. And also it has the full Battle Frontier (though inferior battle tower)
BDSP is superior in the gameplay department with the better dex, better rematches, more rematches, trainer customization, better underground, more mini games, better battle tower (though no full frontier), etc.
I like both Platinum and BDSP though. Platinum is the best game in the series so being better than it is difficult.
