The biggest problem is teammates with less than 10 points not letting 30+ teammates score on a nearly-broken top/bottom goal early game, so they end up that far behind down the 2 minute mark. It's not as easy to score on the goals beyond those because the enemy recovers quickly during that point and is ready to defend, so it's either push and risk losing or pull back and defend your goals. Often you'll get teammates who are smart and let the higher point player score, but other times they're just dumb or greedy and clearly only care about getting MVP (scoring a lot is extremely high priority for MVP).
