The "base" data is already out in the wild, sailing the seas of the pirate fleets. If this does fuck with the very bones of the switch then that means that all someone needs to do is use the base data, break into their switch, and then do whatever the fuck they want to it.
This of course would piss off Nintendo to no end. It would be different if someone had to break the game and dig into the data to cause this like they did with the Twilight Hack, but the fact that the game is doing this shit on its own with no input from the user besides basic fucking actions like saving the game is a big no no.
